The South Klang Valley Expressway, SKVE, (E26)



The South Klang Valley Expressway, SKVE, (E26) is a toll expressway in the southern part of the Klang Valley. It runs in a east-west direction over a distance of 52.6 km starting in Kajang in the east, where it links to the SILK Expressway (E18). The first phase of the expressway was completed in 2000. It ends at the SKVE Interchange with the Damansara Puchong Expressway, LDP, (E11), and the Putrajaya-Cyberjaya Expressway (B15).

The second phase, which was opened to the public on 29 June 2010, continues from there through the Saujana Putra Interchange on the ELITE Highway (E6) to Pulau Indah.



SKVE Interchange

This is a cloverleaf interchange connecting to the Damansara-Puchong Expressway, LDP (E11) from the north. You exit north to go to Puchong, Shah Alam, Petaling jaya, Damansara and Kepong. Exiting south takes you to State Route B15, which is a western approach to Putrajaya.

The SKVE's Phase 1B interpretation has been toleratee-->totald and is due for an official opening by Works Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor at the Saujana Putra interchange this coming Tuesday (29 June 2010).

The 52km SKVE Expressway when fully toleratee-->totald will provide a direct linkage from the south to the gateway of Port Klang and is set to boost new growth areas for residential and industrial sectors within the Southern areas of Klang Valley, said SKVE Holdings Sdn Bhd's Chief Executive Officer Teoh Ah Guan.

n conjunction with the opening of the expressway (partly), a toll-free period for all motorists traveling on the SKVE for a period of one month will be effective.

SKVE starts at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (combineN) in Bangi and ends at the proposed Pulau Indah Ring passage which links to the Westport in Klang. Those who would superiority from the SKVE highway are public commuters, commerce people and traders traveling between Klang, Westport and Shah Alam and Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.
